History
History Department was established at Sreekrishnapuram V.T Bhattathirippad College in the year 1983 with Mr. A.T Cheriyan as Head and Mr. Rajashekharan Nair as Lecturer. At that time College was a junior college only with Pre degree classes.
Mathematics
Till the commencement of BSc in 1995, there was a deficiency of Science course in the institution. In order to overcome this handicap, the management applied for BSc Mathematics, which was sanctioned by the Government of Kerala in 1995.
Commerce
The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1982. The Department has two courses at the undergraduate level and one course at the post graduation level. The degree course B.Com was introduced in 1998.
Economics
The department of Foreign Trade commenced in the year 1999. From 2004 onwards, the name of the course is changed to 'BA Economics with Foreign Trade'. The change of name was to facilitate the students who seek admission in B.Ed .
