The Library at Sreekrishnapuram V T Bhattathiripad College stands as a pivotal resource for academic enrichment within the institution. Established in 1982, its primary objective is to empower the academic community by providing essential information and nurturing lifelong learning. The library had been functioning on the Ground floor of the College new building

ILMS (Integrated Library Management System)

The library commenced its automation journey in 2013 with GRANDHA SOFTWARE, progressing to KOHA Integrated Library Management software version 18.5 in 2018, and subsequently upgrading to version 20.05 in 2023.

The library boasts a comprehensive collection, currently comprising 16,316 books, 36 subject-specific journals,15 magazines, 6000  e-journals and 799500+ e-books subscriptions to 5 national newspapers. To enhance accessibility, the library operates an open access policy, allowing all members to freely explore its holdings categorized according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). Reference books section has several highly valued reference texts suggested in syllabi of various programmes. Furthermore, the adoption of barcoding technology for books and membership cards has streamlined library operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tasks such as user management, book circulation, and inventory control. Over the past five years, the institution has invested Rs.11.01231 in expanding the library's collection of books and journals, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence and scholarly pursuit.

Remote access services by library:

UGC- INFLIBNET, NLIST:

Remote access through individual login ID and password to all staff members, PG students and research scholars; common login ID and password to all UG students. It helps the rural poor get access to highly priced volumes.

Web OPAC:

Digital library facilities ensuring access to a number of online resources including e-books, journals, theses, OERs, magazines, previous year question paper repository, etc. Open Educational Resources: DOAJ, DOAB, Shodhganga, Google schloar, N-LIST, DELNET, NDLI, and NPTEL
