ABOUT LIBRARY:

Libraries are the heart of every academic Institution. Our college having a well planned functional library so that it becomes the intellectual hub of the institution. Sreekrishnapuram V. T. Bhattathiripad College library was established in the year 1982 with an aim to provide the academic community with the information they need to achieve their highest academic potential and help them in their life-long learning. The library is housed with a collection of 22316 books, 36 subject journals, 18 magazines and 5 newspapers of national importance. The library provides open access to its documents and any member can browse through the collections which are arranged according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC). The bibliographic details of all the documents in library can be searched online remotely through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC).

College library is automated using KOHA Integrated Library Management software version 18.5 in 2018 and it is upgraded to software version 20.05 in the year 2023. It facilitates all the library operations such as circulation, classification and cataloguing etc. There is an E-Gate Register machine installed in 2022 which provides catalogue search and records the presence of students in the library. The Network Resource Centre of the library has 7 computers with a speed of 100 Mbps.
