V.T. Anusmarana Samithi: Extending the Reach of Reform

V. T. Anusmarana Samithi has been active in Sreekrishnapuram V. T. Bhattathiripad College for a long time, with a bylaw ensuring the continuity of its activities. The Samithi organizes events to commemorate V. T. Bhattathiripad's death anniversaries, including the V. T. Award ceremony, V. T. commemoration talk, seminars, plays, and exhibitions showcasing his life and contributions.

Membership includes college staff, student representatives, and union chairman. The Samithi elects an eleven-member Governing Body, chaired by the College Principal, with a Secretary and Treasurer managing daily affairs. A General Meeting annually reviews finances, policies, and elects officers. Objectives include promoting VT Bhattathiripad's legacy through cultural events, scholarships, and societal outreach. Amendments require a two-thirds majority and Patron approval. If defunct, assets merge with VTB College.

The V. T. Anusmarana Samithi was established within Sreekrishnapuram V. T. Bhattathiripad College with the primary objective of keeping alive the memory and ideals of V. T. Bhattathiripad.

On February 14, 2019, M. N. Karassery addressed Sreekrishnapuram V. T. Bhattathiripad College at a V. T. Anusmarana Samithi event. During this event, all members of the V. T. Anusmarana Samithi decided to significantly expand the Paṭhanakēndraṃ. M. N. Karassery introduced the V. T. Paṭhanakēndraṃ, bringing the V. T. Anusmarana Samithi under its umbrella and suggesting additional activities for the Paṭhanakēndraṃ to further promote the ideologies of V. T. Bhattathiripad. Consequently, the Samithi broadened into the V. T. Paṭhanakēndraṃ, initiating various intellectual and cultural activities..

1. V.T. Nataka Kalari: Nurturing Creativity and Social Commentary

In collaboration with Natya Sasthra, Kadambazhipuram, the V. T. Paṭhanakēndraṃ organizes the V.T. Nataka Kalari, a theatrical workshop that celebrates V. T. Bhattathiripad's contributions to Malayalam theatre and encourages the exploration of social themes through performance.

2. V.T. Library: A Treasure Trove of Knowledge

The V.T. Library collects and preserves literary works associated with V. T. Bhattathiripad and his philosophy. It also provides resources on contemporary social reformers who collaborated with V. T. Bhattathiripad in advocating for womens' empowerment.

3. V.T. Irippidam: A Space for Intellectual Discourse
